I threw a dinner party for my ladies night group and several of my friends brought flowers. I was going through a little bit of a painting slump at the time, but these flowers and the lovely evening inspired me to set up and paint this and a few other compositions and generally boosted me out of my slump! Every time I look at the paintings I am reminded of how important friends are, and every small act of kindness. You never know how much it will mean.
